Taking A Leap of Faith

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
                                                                                                                        James 1:27

As I type this, my heart is so full.  Tres and I have long felt the calling on our lives to adopt.  The question was not "if" so much as "when", and over the last few months the calling has been almost an audible, "NOW".

This blog is to help serve as a line of communication to all of our friends and family as we take the journey to getting our precious children.  We feel led to adopt a sibling group from Ethiopia, and are confident that God has already chosen our children and they are waiting for us.  They are our amazing gift.  I cannot wait to see their smiles, feel their sweet hugs, know their personalities.

The last few evenings have been full of rich conversation as we delve into the reality that our God's provision is always perfect and He is going to guide our steps every moment of every day during this process.  I feel humbled, blessed, overwhelmed, and overjoyed.

As amazing as it is to put the ball into motion for the adoption process, we are aware of the already too familiar lie of Satan that maybe we're crazy. "Will God REALLY provide for every detail in EVERY situation?"  Thanks be to God though, who is always so patient and good.  He is constantly reminding us that YES, He WILL provide for every detail in every situation.

Please lift us up in prayer as we take these "leaps of faith".  We so desperately want to glorify God with every decision we make and every step that is taken.  We know there are a lot of questions, but we also know that God knows the answer to every single one.  This will be a huge leap of faith for our family... And we are jumping!
